Launching Decent Elections
DECENT isn't just an idea. It's an attempt to standardize the way elections are conducted to prevent fraud. It's a plan to decentralize the vote counting process such that everyone can verify chain of custody. And at this point in time, it's also a fully developed and functional prototype with a companion smartphone app. Work on the OSAKA method began in December of 2020. The method progressed through several revisions before being implemented in the first version of voting machines. Legal work is well underway with a pending trademark and patents.
We are in negotiation with an academic institution to perform a security audit of our hardware and software, but we are still open to additional requests. If you represent an accredited institution of higher learning that is interested in participating, submit an email to .

To the members of this project, DECENT isn't just a product. DECENT is a civic duty. Our original plan was to court venture capital for the seed funding required to begin mass production. We understood this meant we would be forced to cede share and control to outside influences. Venture capital isn't interested in investing in a company that will neither sell nor go public. But the impending sale of Twitter demonstrated the impossibility of retaining control of anything with a price tag on it. Offering shares of our company is the same as placing a price tag on our technology. We refuse to allow it to be buried that easily. Our integrity is not for sale- nor should our elections be. This places us at an immediate disadvantage. To serve even a small county of 20,000 voters would require substantial up-front costs. We are hoping there is enough interest in electoral integrity to crowd-fund this initial stage.

In February of 2022, the "Freedom Convoy" raised nearly $10 million USD. Good people gave what they could with just the hope that it would make a difference. With a fraction of that backing, we could restore the very fabric of our electoral systems. Imagine a world where nobody fought over election results. That world is our pledge.
